Shawn Sutta

Co-Founder/Composer

Shawn Sutta is a composer, multi-instrumentalist recording artist who has been studying his craft for 27 years. Beginning with classical piano lessons at age 7, Shawn began a life-long obsession with music and sound. At age 11, he started playing in a touring band helmed by multi Grammy-winning producer Richard Aspinwall. The retired industry veteran’s mentorship fueled his talent and passion for performing and recording over the next 20+ years. 

After earning a degree in Studio Music and Jazz from the University of Miami, Shawn continued his career performing locally and internationally as well as embarking on a new journey composing and recording music for film, media, and radio. 

In 2011 Shawn Sutta co-founded Audiocastle with fellow alumni Adam Robl, a like-minded musician with a shared passion for his craft. Over the past 10-years Sutta has lent his talents to crafting music for a mix of films that have been featured in theaters, streaming and prestigious festivals all over the world including Sundance, SXSW, and Tribeca. His work on advertising for some of the world’s largest brands has been featured in broadcasts all over the world.

A passionate collaborator, Shawn enjoys creating music with orchestras, choirs, bands, instrumentalist alongside multi-media project teams. His mastery of multiple instruments and styles brings invaluable insights to his compositions. While his enthusiasm for bringing people together to create something awe-inspiring fuels Audiocastle’s culture.

 

Adam Robl

Co-Founder/Composer

Whether using a musical instrument, paintbrush, or digital technology, Adam is constantly creating. His passion for crafting engaging emotive works fuels Audiocastle's unique sound.

Adam has created award winning music and soundscapes for films that have played all over the world in theaters and festivals including Sundance, SXSW and Tribeca. He has also composed music for ad campaigns for some of the most prestigious companies in the world. John Legend and Brian McKnight are among the Grammy-winning recording artists who have tapped Adam’s mastery of the guitar and distinctive style.  

A multi-instrumentalist, Adam is proficient playing the guitar, bass, keyboards, cello, drums, and modular synthesizer. He understands each instrument's unique language - and his fluency as a musician comes through in his compositions and arrangements in styles that run the gamut from classical and modern to ambient.

Adam’s musical foundation has led him to a passion for recording and engineering. While relentlessly chasing the best possible sounds, he has built an exceptional studio that is complete with some of the rarest and finest recording and mixing equipment ever made. 

A lifelong cinephile, Adam brings a knowledge of the production process and a deep understanding of what it takes to create music that elevates visual stories. Crafting music for television, and film - as well recording artists and performing - brings a fresh perspective to the compelling music he creates for commercials for a growing roster of high-profile national and global brands.

Jesse McGinty

Composer/Arranger/Producer

Jesse McGinty is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, and arranger based in Los Angeles.  A long list of Grammy award-winning artists - including Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, Adriana Grande, Lizzo, Illangelo – have tapped his skills as a composer, producer, and musician.

A world-class horn player and versatile musician, Jesse has toured with chart-topping recording artists - sharing the stage at national and international venues a long list of top-tier talent such as Jonas Brothers, Meghan Trainor, Theivery Corporation, Lord Huron, Great Good Fine Ok and Pharrell Williams.

His work in the commercial arena includes producing music for national and international Fortune 500 brands, such as eBay, Comcast, Samsung, and Go, as well as P&G's groundbreaking interactive Bounty spot for Super Bowl LIV.  

Jesse’s film credits include collaborating on the award-winning song, ‘Runnin’, the official theme song from the soundtrack for the Oscar-nominated movie, ‘Hidden Figures.’ Creating music for television content – such as the current season of FOX’s hit TV show, ‘The Masked Singer’– provides the artist with yet another outlet for his talents.

His wide range of experience, creative ingenuity, and unique musical aesthetic make him an invaluable member of Audiocastle’s global collective of talent.

 

Alex Delicata

Composer/Producer/Instrumentalist

Alex Delicata is a Grammy-nominated American songwriter, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, CA. 

He has written, produced, and co-produced songs for a myriad of award-winning recording artists including, Beyonce, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Jessie Reyez, Meek Mill, Chris Brown, Rita Ora, Kygo & OneRepublic.

His television credits include producing multiple seasons of music on Simon Cowell’s Emmy-winning Latin music competition, ‘La Banda, ’as well as myriad of commercials including major companies like Pizza Hut and co-writing Rhianna’s hit song “California King Bed” which was recently used in a Nivea ad campaign.  

A gifted composer, producer, and guitarist, signed by the world-class music publishing company Warner Chappell Music, Alex Delicata’s extraordinary talent make him an ideal fit with Audiocastle’s team.

Gabriela Ferrer

Songwriter/Lyricist/Vocalist

Gabriela Ferrer is an accomplished composer, lyricist, and vocalist with a penchant for blurring the lines between classic and modern, melding the old and the new, and mixing the simple and the complex in unexpected ways.

Gaby kicked off her professional in 2010, performing at venues throughout the country and abroad. She’s worked with notable music producers and opened for LeAnn Rimes with the Keith Johns Band during the Grammy award-winning artist’s 2019 tour.

Before joining the studio’s staff, Gabriela co-composed and performed vocals for a mix of Audiocastle's projects, including global commercials for Johnson & Johnson, and Dole Food Company including a song that is currently the brand’s internal corporate anthem. Her intricate vocals are showcased in the studio’s film score for ‘Poser,’ an official selection of the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival.

 Gifted at melding melodic layers into captivating soundscapes, Gabriela is an integral member of Audiocastle’s collaborative team, with a shared commitment to creating music that pushes creative boundaries, and consistently exceeds client’s expectations.

Mick Utley

Composer/Producer 

Mick Utley is a composer, and producer based in Nashville, TN, the capital of the country music world. He spent his childhood playing piano and went on to study jazz at The University of Miami. It was there that he fell in love with writing music and soon began playing in bands.

His credits include working with award-winning, Grammy-nominated recording artists such as Jimmy Buffett, as well as composing and producing music for a new generation of up-and-coming artists,

With a successful career as a recording artists and performer, playing at venues throughout the country, he began writing and producing music for commercials and composing films scores. His deep knowledge of the recording process led to experimenting with innovative approaches to production.

 

Rick Louie 

Director of Buisness Development

Rick is an accomplished musician, virtuosic pianist, and prolific producer with over a decade of development, design, and licensing experiences in top music industry companies. After finishing his bachelor degree in studio music and jazz, he has gone on to release a mesmerizing solo jazz piano album featured on bandcamp,  along with multiple alums, EPs, and singles as an artist and a collaborator. His recent recording work has been acclaimed by Billboard magazine.

A pioneer of music technology, Rick help set the industry standard for sample libraries as the initial lead content producer of the Converse Sample Library. During his time working at Indaba, he has facilited recording sessions with artists for the first of its kind sample library with bands including The Roots. He was the lead producer for popular Indaba remix contest working closely with artists like Usher, Bon Iver, and the Disney franchises Tron and Pirates of the Caribbean. He also lead the an effort to create sample content for Microsoft using exclusive content from the Sony Vault including classic recordings from Cindy Lauper and Earth Wind and Fire.

Rick has been part of many teams that have helped build the tools for the modern music industry. He has worked as a product designer for Splice, the worlds must popular cloud-based music creation and collaboration platform. Currently he is a senior product designer at the music technology company, Output, where he helps create their flagship products. 

With years on the creator side of music seeing all aspects from creation through distribution, Rick brings a broad palate of industry connections and valuable perspective to the Audiocastle team.

Paul Bedal

Composer

Paul is an award-winning composer and accomplished pianist based in Chicago. A versatile talent, he draws from a wide range of experience as a writer and musician for films and commercials, as well as recording artist.

The Chicago native has composed scores for numerous films that have garnered awards and been showcased at prestigious festivals.  Being HereCooke ConcreteAn Honest ManAirplay and, Controllo are among his movie credits.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Studio Music and Jazz, Paul went on to earn a master’s degree in Music Composition for the Screen from Columbia College Chicago. 

 The accomplished recording artist has released four albums under his name. His most recent quartet release, ‘Cerulean Stars,’ had the distinction of being selected as one of the ‘Best Jazz Albums,’ by Bootcamp.

Paul Bedal is the recipient of the Luminarts Award (2014,2015) for both Composition and Musical Improvisation. Recently, he was selected to receive the Chicago (IAP) DCASE grant in support of his latest record, ‘Cerulean Stars.’
